Hey Guys! We're not Waiting Any More

I’m over it.

I’m over waiting for the men to get it. It seems that if they were going to - that they would have by now.

Now, there are men that will read that and say “get what?”. But, I can pretty much guarantee that every woman reading will not only know exactly what I mean –  but they will probably agree as well.

I’m actually feeling a great amount of relief by coming to this decision. I feel more powerful for some reason by giving up my hopes of changed behavior by the men – a behavior that would reflect at the very least, a basic respect for women and children and mothers.

I’m standing up and walking away. Focusing on something new and different – something that will give me what I’m ultimately wanting anyway. Happiness. Fulfillment. Validation. Approval. Love. Connection.

As good as any mans love or attention has ever made me feel – I can truly say that in reality, I have received more of the items in the above list from other women in my life. Or myself.

The amount of love and satisfaction that I felt during a psychedelic masturbation event while hiking part of the Appalachian Trail several years ago was one of the greatest sexual moments of my life – and I was totally alone.

The warmth, connection and love that I felt while preparing for the burial of my friends newborn baby, in the midst of a group of only women was more brilliant than most anything I can remember.

But for some of us, we have still been waiting for the guys to “complete us”. We have been waiting for them to at least be decent human beings even if we don’t want to be “theirs” anymore.

We’ve been waiting for them to see that how they treat us is how they are treating our children, and therefore the future – making positive behavior essential within the whole system of which they are a part.

It’s true that we have been conceived and conditioned by a narcissistic male dominated world, and men, you couldn’t help but be led to believe that you were separate from the whole and that you need to fight your way to the top – because there is only one true winner and if you’re not the winner, you are the loser. And being a loser is just about the worst thing that could ever happen. The competition became the most important thing in the world to you.

At the same time, you were led to believe that women are weaker, and are not a threat to you. You were bred to idolize and esteem a woman for what her body looks like, and for how sexy she is and what she can do for you.

And us women – well, we believed a lot of the same things. And allowed much more than we were ever comfortable with.

The end result is that together, none of us have truly honored the following fact: that the very root of all life stems from the MOTHER. No exceptions.

We have relegated the mothers’ activities to something that can be substituted with a can of formula, or slave labor. We’ve stood by and let the mothers become mere incubators, relinquishing the inherent power of pregnancy and birth to a system that is instrumental in “delivering” the next product in a vast and insidious assembly line.

Women were only here to complete you and this fucked up cycle - because you needed us.

But, the weird truth is that we never needed you. And now we're seeing that truth. Clearly.

We are waking up and realizing that we are hosting more than a nice company cocktail party here – we are giving our very bodies and breast milk to a parasitic beast that we didn’t even give birth to. The miraculous milk that we’ve worked so hard for not going to our babies, who desperately need it – but to this monster of perpetual subjugation of the mother.

Women – do you realize the amount of true power that we have?

All we have to do is to stop engaging in the madness.

And when we stop, every day opens a new level of understanding of the capabilities we have for providing for ourselves – physically and emotionally.

While frustrated by the stagnation of continued abuse, we need to stand up and start heading in a new direction. Together. In firm resolve, not only for us but for our babies and their future.

When we do it for our babies, we step into one of the greatest physical and scientifically proven forces known – that of a mother fighting to protect her young.

Activate THAT POWER within you.

Which is easy when you just allow yourself to look at the truth of humanity today. And what the current future for our kids is looking like.
